Finka Table & Tap

Cuban, Korean, Peruvian fusion. If that alone doesn’t move you, just logout and power off your device into eternity because you most likely don't appreciate good food.

FINKA IS MY FAV RESTAURANT. And I never have favorite things because I like a little bit of everything. Since I love it here soo much, this post may include a little more details than I usually provide in a post. Get ready.

Finka is my happy place. Anytime I want to celebrate something, I go to Finka. New job, reached a new goal, the breeze blew through my hair “just right”, you can find me at Finka. I was so excited to launch my blog because I realized that meant I was going to Finka to celebrate. I’m not exaggerating at all, this place makes ya girl feel extremely blessed. I think I said "Finka" and "happy" a million times now. Just go already so I can shut up about it!

This place is not overrated and I’ve never had a dish I didn't enjoy. Usually people keep their favorite things a secret, but this type of happiness needs to be shared. Good food and superb decor? Euphoria. Also the customer service here is great. Usually I don't mention this, but I do admire how consistent Finka has been in every way.

Some of the dishes I’ve had are “Cuban Fried Rice” which includes shrimp, pineapples, red peppers, fried egg, scallions, etc, “Mac n 3cheese” which includes bacon and carne asada and “Orecchiette Pasta” which is pulled oxtails, roasted peppers and truffle oil. *salivates uncontrollably* Honestly, I haven’t had a dish that has been a disappointment. Maybe I go on the the best days or maybe I’m biased. Neither of those options are valid. Finka is always amazing.

Price: This is definitely a “you get what you pay for” type of place meaning it’s worth every penny and it’s not overpriced. The prices here won't make you feel taken advantage of. Of course, the more complex your meal is, the more you’ll pay. (i.e., a good steak will obviously cost more than chicken.)

Decor: Excellent, well thought out, perfect, harmonious. Someone took their time with this and put ALL of their energy into it. Both food and decor are truly unforgettable and are what compelled me to feature this establishment.

Occasion: As mentioned earlier, this is one place I can say confidently that there is never a wrong time to come here. You don't need a legitimate reason to go other than simply being in the mood for a quality meal. That should be telling of how rewarding and magnificent this place is. Finka is good for celebrating anything from birthdays to anniversaries, a really nice place for a date night, a lunch outing and everything in between.

Dress Code: This one is tricky because the feelings I have are personal. You can dress how you’d like but if I were you, I’d want to look well put together here just out of respect for this establishment. Even if you want to wear jeans and a shirt, make it look somewhat nice or be sure to look very clean during the lunch hour. For dinner, a collared shirt, nice shoes, casual dress, or a good pair of jeans with a dress shirt/blouse are all acceptable options. You can be comfortable, but whatever is a “good” outfit and requires a little effort from your perspective, wear that. It’s like going on the 4th date with someone, you don't have to put on the best thing in your closet anymore, but you definitely still want them to tell you your outfit looks nice. Whatever outfit you thought of after that last sentence, wear that.
